This lily bulb is blooming for the second year now and is nearly over 7 feet tall.  This bloom is at eye level and there are three more rows of buds before reaching the top.  Eventually all of the petals will be turned back toward the stem and then it will dry and blow away.

Navajo Matriarch Passes

I was saddened to learn that Suzie passed away recently at age 98.  She lived deep in Monument Valley and worked with Arizona Highways to keep Navajo history alive.  She was a treasure.

Hawaii Bound

Leaving soon for sun and warmth!  Last year the weather here turned winter and we had a couple of feet of snow.  Hope that does not happen again this year.
